Because Andersen himself stated that the lab leak theory would do great potential harm to science and international harmony.

7/11/2023 【The House Coronavirus Pandemic Hearing】After receiving support from Fauci, Kristian Andersen and others wrote “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2”, a paper advocating for the natural origin of COVID. BTW, this paper was later “coincidentally” cited by Dr. Fauci himself to refute the lab-origin theory. Is this just a coincidence?
Part 3: The authors of “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” and Fauci are not good scientists
7/11/2023 【The House Coronavirus Pandemic Hearing】Dr. Robert F. Garry Jr, who was involved in writing “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” had to admit that his previous statement about COVID not originating from a lab went too far. Quoting Dr. Garry himself, “A scientist that is 100% certain of their conclusions is not a good scientist.” Therefore, the authors of “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” and Fauci are not good scientists.
